one of my all time favorite games. blew my mind when i was young. i used to play before school and i could not figure out where to get meryl codec number until i talked to a friend. i was stuck for like 2 days lol good times.

I remember watching the making-of documentary of the game and Kojima talking about how every type of media always got wrong how soldiers carry their guns and that it's idiotic to hold a gun's barrel up James Bond style. I'm not a gun enthusiast myself, but this has stuck with me ever since and I will always check if a movie, series or game does it right. This was probably my first time seeing anyone care that much about accuracy in a video game.

As to the internet affecting social progress, respectfully I think the exact opposite is true and it’s not even close. The rate of change in the public’s perception of progressive ideas is incredible fast. In just my 30 years of life the concept of being transsexual (let’s face it, an incredibly transgressive idea for most people) has went from unheard of by most people to being shown and praised in popular media to the point that counterculture groups have grown who’s whole thing is complaining about non-normative representation in media. We got rid of slaves (in the US) less than 200 years ago. Gays were just allowed to marry less than 10 years ago. The increasing rate of social progress is growing exponentially fast because everyone is exposed to all information and now that information has to compete against all other information for your attention.

School stories is one of my favourites in this game. They put alot of effort into it like voice acting in some parts making it more interesting than the usual side stories. I do understand some parts are abit boring or annoying for me like the Biker gang or the Robotics club, since it is hard to get through and such. But in the end it does give a sense of achievement after you completed it. One thing I might be nitpicky about it is the ending. After you finish the the main story, Amasawa and the MRC club were never mentioned again. I wonder what happened to Yagami as being an advisor. I kinda wish they could give some sort of ending to include it if you finish the school stories before you finish the main one or a separate type of ending for it.

Thank you SO much for playing with English dubs, as someone who listens to these while studying or sleeping I find it so much better.

Medieval Dynasty was fantastic. As a huge survival game fan, the game gets better the longer you play it. Deep systems and fun village sim. Sad Wild West Dynasty sucks.
